As a repentant fishing enthusiast, it’s fair to say that the swanky 2024 Tidewater Boat Carolina Bay Series 3100 CB piqued my interest more than most boats. Showcased by Tidewater, it represents an exquisite display of workmanship, advanced technology, and fishing utility.
The first thing that strikes you about this yacht certified craft is its sheer size; at 31ft1in long and a beam width of 10ft2in. Coupled with a whopping weight of 7,200lbs, you certainly get a lot of boat for your buck. Moreover, its 220-gal fuel capacity and fresh water capacity of 19-gal suggests long trips out on the water are a breeze for this capable vessel.
Indeed, fishing enthusiasts will relish the standards this boat offers. A Yamaha F450NSA2, White, supports robust expeditions. When our family wanted to purchase our first boat we tried to find information for research. However the only information available at that time was sales brochures. All of the product information originated from the manufactures. The only price we could find was the retail price listings or MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price). Magazines featured articles, and had really great photo layouts, it only offered product description and the (MSRP) retail price.
We went to the dealership where the sales guy held all the cards. The best thing he had going for him was our lack of information. We tried to wrangle on price without any real success. We bought the boat, but we paid too much. After that experience we felt there had to be a better way.
