FEATURES
CHASSIS
Suzuki’s sporting essence is present in the GSX250R ABS’s full bodywork that features an aggressive style with a futuristic flair. Select styling cues from historic and current Suzuki sportbikes appeal to both new and experienced riders.
The fairing routes cool air to the radiator while moving hot air from the engine away from the rider.
The nose of the motorcycle features unique dual LED position lights, angular fairing-mounted mirrors, and an effective sport windshield that incorporates slots that help reduce wind buffeting.
The mass-forward styling of the tail section and its LED taillight are evocative of the GSX-R1000R.
The stylish and trim fuel tank holds 4.0 US gallons (15.0 liters) of gasoline for an excellent riding range. With a full tank of gasoline, the GSX250R ABS has a riding range of over 250 miles**. (**Suzuki’s fuel economy estimates are based on EPA exhaust emission measurement tests conducted by Suzuki and are intended for comparison purposes only. Your actual mileage may vary depending on how you ride and maintain your vehicle, road and driving conditions, tire pressure, engine break-in, accessories, cargo, rider and passenger weight, and other factors.)
The comfortable, contoured rider’s seat has a low seat height of 790mm (31.1 inches).
The separate rear seat is set higher so the passenger has a better view over the rider’s shoulder.
The semi double-cradle frame provides a strong foundation for the GSX250R ABS’s quality suspension, ABS-equipped brakes*, and exciting bodywork. (*Depending on road surface conditions, such as wet, loose, or uneven roads, braking distance for an ABS-equipped vehicle may be longer than for a vehicle not equipped with ABS. ABS cannot prevent wheel skidding caused by braking while cornering. Please ride carefully and do not overly rely on ABS.)
The well-tuned telescopic front fork soaks up bumps for smooth tracking up front – whether riding irregular city streets or faster open roads.
Rear suspension action is handled by a mono-shock system that stays hidden from view to augment the bike’s performance style. With seven-way adjustable spring preload, the rear suspension can be easily tuned for a passenger or cargo+. (+Never exceed the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of this motorcycle. The GVWR is the combined weight of the machine, accessories, payload, rider, and passenger. Review the Owner’s Manual for accessory and loading information.)
The clip-on handlebar’s design and reach were developed to provide a comfortable riding position.
The five-way adjustable front brake lever allows the rider to position the lever for comfort and confidence.
Hydraulic, ABS-equipped* disc brakes front and rear grasp petal-style stainless steel rotors to provide consistent and controlled braking whether commuting on city streets or roaming the open road.
Ten-spoke, 17-inch, cast aluminum wheels are shod with IRC tires that provide sporting performance across a variety of road conditions.
ELECTRICAL
The GSX250R ABS is equipped with a back-lit multifunction LCD instrumentation panel that displays a wealth of information.
At the top of the display is a bar-graph tachometer, and in the center is a large digital speedometer with a convenient digital clock and digital gear position indicator.
Also present in the panel is an odometer, twin trip meter, fuel gauge readouts, and a service reminder. A bright, programmable shift light is joined by LED alert indicators for the turn signals, engine functions, ABS, and high beam.
The bright halogen headlight is bracketed by a pair of distinctive position lamps using high-tech, surface-emitting LEDs.
The rear taillight also uses surface-emitting LEDs for excellent visibility to traffic.
The turn signals feature amber incandescent bulbs with clear lenses and are well placed to not interfere with a passenger or accessories+. (+Never exceed the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of this motorcycle. The GVWR is the combined weight of the machine, accessories, payload, rider, and passenger. Review the Owner’s Manual for accessory and loading information.)
Projected tip-style spark plugs enhance combustion, improving throttle response and fuel economy.
The GSX250R ABS uses an open-type regulator/rectifier to reduce charging-system draw that can rob power from the engine. A maintenance-free battery makes sure the motorcycle starts quickly each time.
ENGINE
The 248cc, parallel-twin engine that powers the GSX250R ABS has been refined to maximize low- to mid-range torque to deliver a power characteristic that emphasizes ease of control.
A proven engine design and fuel-injection (EFI) tuning yields exceptional fuel economy of approximately 73.6 mpg** while satisfying worldwide emission requirements.
Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) stabilizes the engine idle and helps provide nearly linear throttle response for clean, exciting performance.
The camshaft profile maximizes engine performance when riding at road speeds between 15 to 55 mph. This helps the GSX250R ABS deliver true, practical performance.
The valve train employs roller-type rocker arms for valve actuation to reduce mechanical losses.
Screw and nut valve lash adjusters help keep maintenance simple and inexpensive.
The intake valves have a slim stem profile near the head to optimize airflow into the combustion chamber.
Low-tension piston rings are used to reduce friction, while a special honing pattern on the cylinder wall increases oil retention for additional friction reduction.
A coupling-type balancer shaft fitted to the engine’s crankshaft reduces vibration and enhances rider comfort.
A unique oil pump design is used in the GSX250R ABS to reduce frictional loss while providing excellent engine lubrication.
Dual head pipes effectively route the exhaust through a high-flow catalyzer and into a stylish solo muffler covered with a buffed stainless steel shield.
Designed to get the most out of the engine’s mid-range performance and emit a pleasing sound, the GSX250R ABS's exhaust is lightweight and stylish.
A six-speed transmission, with gear ratios well matched to the engine’s output, further improves low- to mid-range power delivery.
OTHER
Here’s a fully faired, quarter-liter sportbike with an aggressive, flowing styling true to Suzuki’s sportbike heritage. The GSX250R ABS’s new, two-tone Metallic Diamond Red and Pearl Nebular Black paint scheme brings big bike quality to the 250 class.
Fuel-injected, twin-cylinder engine delivers a responsive, broad power band with class-leading fuel economy of approximately 73.6 mpg**.
The GSX250R ABS features a reverse-lit LCD instrument panel and a bright halogen headlight, plus distinctive position lamps and taillight using high-tech, surface-emitting LEDs.
The comfortable, roomy ergonomics for rider and passenger, with a slim fuel tank, that helps the rider easily plant their feet on the ground when stopped.
Ten-spoke, cast aluminum wheels, petal-type brake rotors, and quality KYB suspension components round out a chassis ready for any riding assignment.
When our family wanted to purchase our first boat we tried to find information for research. However the only information available at that time was sales brochures. All of the product information originated from the manufactures. The only price we could find was the retail price listings or MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price). Magazines featured articles, and had really great photo layouts, it only offered product description and the (MSRP) retail price.
We went to the dealership where the sales guy held all the cards. The best thing he had going for him was our lack of information. We tried to wrangle on price without any real success. We bought the boat, but we paid too much. After that experience we felt there had to be a better way.
So we started this website because we did not want anyone else to feel disadvantaged like our family did that day. We discussed what we would like to see. We found experts in their fields and started asking questions. We then put together a team to research products and most importantly the dealer price. We started with boats and realized that there was a great need for information on many kinds of large purchase recreational vehicles and products.
Look when you visit a dealership for a boat, motorcycle or camper, if you have not done your research your negotiation for that item will start with the Manufactures Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The highest price you could pay. The sales person will try to see what you know and size you up. If you do not have product knowledge including what the cost was to the dealer – you are going to pay too much.
See Dealer Cost™ offers product information that is in-depth and understandable. You can build your ideal product on line and see what it cost before you walk into a dealership. See Dealer Cost™ gives you the product options and most importantly the cost without the pressure of someone trying to talk you into something.
Knowledge is power.
After you find the product you want on See Dealer Cost™ and configure the options. You can save it to view or reference later. You can also print out what you put together (with the price). In turn you can use this information to negotiate your best deal.
What if the item is used? We are making available all the information we have gathered over the years so you can research to see the original cost. Even on used items you can use our site to negotiate your best deal.
Our passion here at See Dealer Cost™ is to give people power and knowledge. We were at a disadvantage once and we did not like the feeling.
By the way this great idea we had to build a website with this information. We had to fight to be able to bring this information to you. See Dealer Cost™ was supposed to be a one hit wonder. The manufactures magazines that they send to dealers said we would be dead in no time. They pounded their fists on their desks and said the consumer did not want or need this information. They said we would put them out of business. We were sued multiple times by manufacturers for this information. We are still here.
Why would they not want you to be able to see and use this information? They were afraid that you the consumer would be the true winner.
As it turns out – this information has not put anyone out of business. A consumer who is knowledgeable is confident buyer.
So we continue on with our team of experienced and expert people. We constantly update product lines and most importantly the cost so you have information to make your best deal.
We are proud of the team and proud to be able to assist you in your recreational purchase. We do not sell any of the items listed – we just gather the information.
The products include thousands of boats, motors, campers, motorcycles and more. We are constantly working to expand the information we present for you.
We all have families. We hope your buying experience is a better one than our family’s first purchase. Use this website to be a knowledgeable more confident buyer.
We hope we are a valuable resource for you. Enjoy your purchase.
Thanks,
